The Daughter-in-law and grandchildren of Head of the National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze have been placed in self-isolation, according to Mr. Gamkrelidze.
"My daughter-in-law and grandchildren are in self-isolation. I visit them every day to leave food at the door for them and all the required items. When I leave, they open the door and take everything at home," Gamkrelidze said.
Amiran Gamkrelidze's son Nika Gamkrelidze, who tested positive for the China-born virus, has been in an isolation ward at the hospital.
