The Security and Cooperation Framework agreement has been concluded between the United States of America and Georgia in Pentagon, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia informs. 

According to Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, the U.S.-Georgia partnership has never been stronger before, with the signed document creating even stronger and more stable basis for a powerful alliance.  

Before completion of the agreement, Mr. Garibashvili was hosted by Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norquist, with an official solemn ceremony being held at the U.S. Department of Defence for precisely this purpose. 

At the bilateral meeting, prospects for enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence was discussed and security issues and challenges in the region were highlighted. Attention was also focused on the Georgia Defense Readiness Program (GDRP) successfully being implemented in the country with the help of the US.
