Georgia is on the first place according to slowest rate of virus spread and the number of fatalities in Europe, states Irakli Kobakhidze, a member of Georgian Parliament.
“Georgia has the lowest indices of the number of infected per 1000 of the population and the number of fatalities per 1000 of population. Should we have the same indices as Italy, Spain, Belgium, and several other European countries, we, the country with 3.7 million population would have 1500-2000 infected people now. Today, the fatality index is 300-time and 400-times less than in the listed countries.
It means that we have managed to save the lives of up to 2000 people, hundreds of older people and tens of youth.
It is the merit of our doctors, introduced restriction, and timely and efficient measures undertaken by our government,” – writes Irakli Kobakhidze on his social page in the Facebook.
