Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili hosted Azerbaijani citizens in the government administration.
He congratulated them on the Novruz holiday and noted that this day symbolizes renewal, new life, and love.
"It is a great honor for me to congratulate you on the Novruz holiday personally. This day is a symbol of renewal, new life, and love. Of course, it is a great honor for us to meet with you, to have a relationship. Due to the pandemic, we had to celebrate this day in a different format. When I was Prime Minister for the first time, I came to Marneuli, and we celebrated this day together. Unfortunately, today, due to the pandemic, we have to work in a different mode. Therefore, I want to thank all of you for considering this reality. Once again, with all my heart, I congratulate you on the Novruz holiday - Novruz bayramınız mübarək Olsun!" said the Prime Minister of Georgia.
The Novruz holiday lasts from March 20 to 24, and its peak occurs on March 21, the day of the vernal equinox.
On September 28, 2009, at the UNESCO summit, Novruz was officially included in the list of humanity's intangible cultural heritage, and in 2010 the UN General Assembly recognized it as the International Day.
