The new building of the new Fire-Rescue Service center opened in Sighnaghi. Vakhtang Gomelauri, Minister of Internal Affairs, Temur Mgebrishvili, Head of Fire-Rescue Department and the representatives of the local self-government participated in the opening event.
Twenty fire-rescuers will be working in the center. The building has the working, studying and sporting facilities as well as the canteen. There are special parking places for fire extinguisher and rescue vehicles in the building.
There was no Fire-Rescue center building in Sighnaghi since 1998. The emergency situation management service of the region was located in various buildings.
