A person attending a conference at the Dreamland Oasis Hotel in Chakvi has a new coronavirus.
According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control, examining the persons in contact with the infected will begin.
"A conference of my colleagues is taking place at the Oasis Hotel, where one of the persons had suspicious symptoms, who was in contact with an infected person and underwent testing. I was informed right now that he was infected," Gamkrelidze said.
The hotel Oasis in Chakvi, where about 900 guests are staying, is closed.
As the hotel manager Gvantsa Khaindrava told report.ge, the reception and departure of guests are temporarily suspended.
In the last 24 hours, 38 new cases - a record high number of coronavirus cases got registered in Georgia since April.
