Heavy rain hindered traffic on the Batumi-Makhinjauri section of the highway.
According to the information shared by one of the travelers with Report.ge, he wanted to drive from Batumi to Kutaisi but could not leave the city.
“We plan to travel from Batumi to Kutaisi. At the moment we are waiting for the road to open since the 12:30. Patrol says the road is flooded in Makhinjauri. It will take two hours after the rain stops to clean the road. There are traffic jams. Streets are flooded. Patrol recommended going back to Batumi. Me and my friend returned to Batumi. A part of us stays there. We are waiting for the roads to open, but it is still heavily raining.” – said Tatia Akhvlediani.
