"Anti-church absurdity and deception," this is a comment released by His Eminence Zosime, Archbishop of Tsilkani and Dusheti in response to indictments against him.
The Archbishop held a briefing in Dusheti cathedral today.
He maintains that his former students accusing him of sexual violence have been encouraged to take this step by somebody.
"The people who backed them wanted to make the church obey them rather than they themselves obeyed the church. I don't know who these people are," declared the bishop and added that they want to cause tension, unrest and conflict inside the church.
Father Giorgi Skiladze residing in France at this point, posted information on his Facebook page on alleged sexual violence having occurred in 1988 and accused His Eminance Zosime Shioshvili of sodomy. As he maintains, the Patriarchate is piling pressure on him.
