Infectious Disease Specialist warns citizens about lasting COVID-19 symptoms

Infectious Disease Specialist Maia Butsashvili says that after recovering from the novel coronavirus, former patients may experience some symptoms left by the disease, with one of the symptoms not worth ignoring being insomnia and restlessness.

In the specialist's words, if the mentioned symptoms last for a long time, doctors' interference is necessary. "If symptoms such as restlessness and insomnia last, additional medical tests are required, especially if treatment is ineffective," Butsashvili says, adding that cardiac procedures may prove necessary in the case of chest pain.

Maia Butsashvili also advises those with muscle pain to walk in the fresh air and avoid staying at home due to discomfort.
