The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, participated in the second round of elections. According to him, these elections aim to stabilize the situation in Georgia and maintain a calm environment.
The Prime Minister spoke about Georgia's recent past and said that it was time for the country to hold exemplary second-round elections.
"We have gone through a lot of unrest in the last 30 years; we have all made serious mistakes. We have had civil controversy, wars, including the experience of a dictator, and as a result, we have inherited a very heavy legacy, including the loss of territories, occupation, oppression of people, torture. Therefore, I would like to remind our society once again that the rule of the Georgian Dream is a rare exception, when our country has had no war, no unrest, no conflict, except for an attempt at internal destabilization by only one political organization, the "National Movement." The only source of destabilization is Saakashvili and his radical group. Therefore, I want to tell our voters and population that we should all be absolutely calm; the situation is fully under control," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
