According to Ivane Chkhaidze, the Medical Director and Head of the National Group of Immunization Technical Advisors at Iashvili Central Children's Hospital, the council is considering two scenarios of vaccination in children.
Following the one version, the vaccine will be available to all adolescents under 12-15, while the other version, which is being considered by the Immunization Board, provides only vaccination for those at risk in this age category. According to Ivane Chkhaidze, the decision will be announced by the end of the week.
"I hope Georgia will have this decision by the end of the week," Chkhaidze said.
