Roughly two tons of rotten meats and meat products were reportedly found in Georgia's Batumi municipality. A TV program called 'Quality Control' discovered inedible meat products ready for sale in the warehouse near the meat store on Kutaisi street, Batumi municipality.
Some of these products are likely to have been sold. Chief inspector of the National Food Agency, Tamar Berdzenishvili, says that the meat warehouse is unknown to them, and the owner has done a very good job in hiding the spoiled meat.
The discovered meat was mainly used in meat preparations.
The National Food Agency fined and sealed the meat warehouse.
Two tons of horse meat for sale were also discovered in Ajara food facilities a month ago.
