A while ago, Anita's family left Georgia for Austria and got refugee status to have medical services rendered. However, eventually, they learned that citizenship is a must to have a heart transplant operation there. The Austrian government refused to grant them citizenship, and the family found an Italian clinic that is ready to perform the surgery if their refugee status is revoked. The family is asking the Georgian government to help them to have their refugee status canceled without being deported from the country as the seriously ill little girl will not be able to survive a long flight.
