The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia held a ceremony to commemorate the martyrs of the Azerbaijani Patriotic War.
At 12:00, the participants of the event observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who died.
The ceremony was attended by Military Attachés of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Lieutenant Colonel Fuad Ibrahimov, Colonel Murat Altinar, Embassy and SOCAR staff, Georgian public figures, members of the Azerbaijani society, and media representatives.
Eldar Bayramov, the ambassador's advisor, noted that today is distinguished by another reason, 28 years have passed since the fall of the city of Sokhumi. The event participants also paid tribute to the memory of those who died for the unity of Georgia.
