The MIA of Georgia has issued information regarding the Ninotsminda Boarding School saying that the investigation of alleged offenses has been launched.
According to the MIA, four criminal cases have been subject to investigation.
The investigation was launched after the Office of the Ombudsman of Georgia and the Agency for Victims of Human Trafficking had filed the corresponding requests.
The MIA says that witnesses have already been questioned and the corresponding forensic examinations held. However, following the MIA, evidence proving offenses were committed is not yet sufficiently strong.
A criminal investigation into the cases of alleged violence committed in 2016-2021 at the Ninotsminda Boarding School has been launched, said the Georgian public defender earlier.
