''A million doses of Pfizer vaccine set to arrive in Georgia will prove decisive in the massive immunization campaign,'' said Ivane Chkhaidze, the medical director at Iashvili Children's Central Hospital.
In Mr. Chkhaidze's words, a million doses of Pfizer will arrive in the country in the coming months. ''A million doses of Pfizer are required here to realize the plan and vaccinate 60% of the population by the end of the year. However, a long time period is still ahead before the end of 2021, and risks of virus spread still remain high; although, I think we have passed the peak, which was on 5 May,'' he stated.
