''Why you get vaccinated is of decisive importance. I received the jab not to let coronavirus kill me. If the desire to travel in Europe pushes somebody to take the shot doubts will naturally take over,'' Deputy head of the NCDC Paata Imnadze said.
''We must also remember that Chinese tourists account for 10-15% of the European tourist industry. It is also worth remembering that Hungary is an EU member country, and around a million of its citizens have already taken the Sinopharm vaccine shots. Accordingly, I doubt the European Union will close its doors to Hungarians,'' Imnadze declared.
Mr. Imnadze hopes that the WHO will soon approve the Sinopharm vaccine.
Georgia started administering China's Sinopharm COVID vaccine on 4 May.
