Paata Imnadze: Some people believe in COVID-19 vaccine conspiracy theories

Deputy Head of the NCDC Paata Imnadze says that some people believe in coronavirus vaccine conspiracy theories, and efforts should be made to win the public's trust.

"Around 22% of citizens says that they will never take vaccines, 20% does not know yet, and up to 55-60% states that they will get vaccinated.

This is not a low figure; however, a great number of theories are being disseminated to the public, especially on social media, and people believe in these theories. I am really sorry for this, but we should work with the public more and explain to them in detail which or what sorts of vaccines they are. We must bring this information to the public," Paata Imnadze said in his televised interview with the "Pirveli Arkhi" TV Channel.
