"In Batumi and Kobuleti, the educational process will get postponed in the classroom, and will take place remotely," the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, said at a special briefing after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
According to the head of government, education will be remotely resumed in two cities of the country on September 15 and will be fully restored on October 1.
"According to today's data, we have 34 cases of new infections in the country, 20 reported in Batumi. Due to the tourist season, the mobility was quite high. Therefore, we expected an increase in cases; everything is ready for that. The important thing is that the epidemic management process is fully under control. However, since the beginning of the school year will lead to an increase in mobility, so we decided the studies will be postponed in Batumi and Kobuleti," Gakharia said.
