Four pregnant women infected with coronavirus underwent a cesarean section in the Beaumonde Clinic Kutaisi. A cesarean section resulted in the birth of five newborns, including twin boys.
According to the clinic, all four cases were completed successfully.
"In each case, a cesarean section was performed. The condition of one pregnant woman with respiratory failure was particularly difficult, but eventually, everything ended well. Both mothers and newborns are feeling well," said Teona Lortkipanidze, obstetrician-gynecologist at COVID center.
Thirteen more recovered patients left the Beaumonde Clinic, and six patients got transferred to the quarantine area with a satisfactory condition.
Seventy-seven patients remain in the clinic.
