Director-General of the Tbilisi Center for Infectious Pathologies and AIDS, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, says that Georgia will be provided with a million doses of Novavax vaccine in late-June.
"We have already completed a preliminary agreement with Novavax, and the import of a million dose of the vaccine is planned in late-June.
As far as we are concerned, nothing can impede the process, and this will, in fact, solve the immunization issue. Georgia was one of the first to contact the Novavax; however, our opponents keep reprimanding us, saying why we failed to do so earlier.
Official data have not yet been released, but, as we know, two doses of Novavax will be necessary for each citizen," Tsertsvadze told Rustavi 2.
