Ana Dolidze, a non-judge member of the High Council of Justice of Georgia, held a rally-briefing at the entrance of the Parliament demanding the removal of the Supreme Court's list of candidates.
According to Ana Dolidze, she wanted to present 11 reasons why certain decision should be made but was not allowed to enter the Parliament.
Dolidze thinks that the candidates are selected for loyalty to the clan.
“The fact is that the Parliament is in a self-blocking mode, it seems that they think that the Parliament should be blocked from the citizens of Georgia. Tavadze decided not to play part in this process, which definitely is our victory. Whoever stays on this shameful list will stay there temporarily, our fight will surely bring results”, Ana Dolidze said.
Zaza Tavadze, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, refused to be a judge of the Supreme Court. Tavadze applied to the Parliament and demanded the postponing of his candidacy for the post of Supreme Court judge on November 22.One of the main reasons for his request to suspend his candidacy was the procedures regarding his master's degree, he was hoping that the given degree would be confirmed.
