The Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili congratulates the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church on his birthday.
"On behalf of the Parliament of Georgia, I congratulate the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia on his birthday.
He took over the Church with about 50 functioning temples and about 40 clergymen. Today, on the 89th anniversary, he is greeted by more than 3 000 clergymen of about 2 000 churches and hundreds of thousands of parishioners.
This multiplied grace, and the love of the nation is the most visible proof of his devotion to the country and the Church.
