After 2 hours of physical confrontation, the situation in Dmanisi calmed down. Part of the opposing parties disbanded, though part of them still remain near the police building.

The situation in Dmanisi became tense this morning when one group was protesting against the incident that took place yesterday. Those gathered on the spot confronted each other with stones, batons, and various heavy objects, during which several of them were injured, including a police officer.
In connection with today's incident, police officials said that law enforcement officers did not arrest any members of any group. The head of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also arrived at the scene recently.
