The military serviceman was confirmed to have coronavirus. The Ministry of Defense spreads information about the new case. The agency revealed that a military serviceman of the 2nd Brigade of Senaki tested positive on COVID-19 after his stay in Batumi.

"The military serviceman was in Adjara during the period of dismissal, and due to his presence in the epidemic center, he got examined following the established protocol before being admitted to the military base. It should be noted that he had no contact with the personnel of the military unit. Therefore, there is no need to quarantine the territory," the agency said in a statement.

Hundred and ninety-six new patients tested positive on coronavirus in Georgia. 

According to stopcov.ge, 2 758 people have COVID-19 in the country, of which 1 412 already recovered.

41 Georgian citizens have been transferred from abroad for medical treatment.
