Director-General of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, says that Georgia has confirmed two or three cases of reinfection in some citizens who have received the first jab.

The country has so far confirmed a total of 10-15 cases of reinfection, according to Mr. Tsertsvadze.

''We have reinfection cases, but very few. I cannot be certain; the NCDC has precise information, but as I am concerned, reinfection cases do not exceed 10 or 15 in number, which is very few. This also can serve as an argument that recovered patients are immune to British strain, among others,'' he said.
