A star of the famous TV presenter, Davit Sokolov, was unveiled in Mtatsminda Park, near the Tbilisi TV tower.
Davit Sokolov himself attended the opening of the star.
"My dearest, this is not a star; this is life expectancy. It is a miracle, proof that you exist in this country, that you are a member of this community. Heavenly Father, let this gathering be a symbol of our respect for one another. I only care about the look in your eyes. I only care about your verbal attitude towards me. I'm interested in remembering what we did, what we did it for, and how we did it," Sokolov said.
From the very first years of the establishment of Georgian Television, Davit Sokolov worked as a host of the news program "Moambe," as well as a number of social-political programs for decades. In parallel with television, he also hosted programs on the radio.
Famous TV stars already represented in Mtatsminda Park are Alexandra Machavariani, Lia Mikadze, Julieta Vashakmadze, Janeta Archvadze, Nugzar Jugheli, and Tengiz Natadze.
