According to the Tbilisi City Hall, on the occasion of the Day of Victory over Fascism, the City Hall provided financial assistance to World War II veterans.
"The Municipal Healthcare and Social Services, within the framework of the "War Veterans Assistance" program, transferred GEL 600 to World War II veterans living in Tbilisi and GEL 300 to those who lost those supporting them in the war.
As of May 9, 115 World War II veterans and 52 people who lost their supporters received material assistance," the statement said.
According to the decision of the Interagency Coordination Council, May 4-11 has been declared a holiday, which is why the amount was transferred to the veterans' pension card earlier than planned.
