According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, a project is underway to conduct PCR testing in all markets.

As Gamkrelidze noted, 1415 tests have been taken from Lilo market traders. Out of the named cases above, five have already been identified, and six are undergoing in-depth research.

"Serious extended testing is underway at the Lilo market because many cases crossed there, both in Gardabani and other clusters, so we started intensive testing there. These two points - the fairs and the Gardabani municipality - are the most important places in the country, because they have the highest mobility, flow of people. Thermal screening has been tightened, with distance and sanitary rules," Gamkrelidze said.

No new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Zugdidi and Kutaisi in the last 24 hours.
