The epidemic situation in Kakheti sustains stable. Not a single case of infection is detected as of May 17. Fourteen persons are in self-isolation.
Three people are released from self-isolation. As for the quarantine spaces, ten locations are accommodating 438 citizens.
The citizens' testing is underway at fever centers and quarantine spaces. Extensive testing i.e., targeted testing is also in the process of testing the risk groups. In particular, medical personnel, pharmaceutical business representatives, persons with disabilities, and older people shelter beneficiaries and their care-givers, international truck drivers, people in quarantine and quarantine space service personnel, customs service staff.
On May 16, one hundred and thirteen samples were sent to Lugar Center. The results of one hundred and three are ready, all of the are virus-negative as well as the results of May 15. More results will be available during the day.
The total number of tested people in the Kakheti region is 2,775, out of which 963 are medical personnel, 815 are quarantined citizens, and 149 are persons with disabilities.
