NCDC head Amiran Gamkrelidze says that two COVID passes will be functional in Georgia according to today's decision, one for internal use and the other to cross the country's border. The second pass will require that time period since recovering from coronavirus does not surpass six months.
''They will check QR codes at the border, and they will require that citizens be recovered from coronavirus for not longer than six months. We are now discussing this. We also have the second option: we may introduce the so-called green document for its use inside the country and a green pass for traveling. Lots of countries have implemented similar practices: documents for internal use allowing citizens to have green statuses if they recovered from coronavirus a year ago. However, in the majority of countries, they have six-month passes,'' the NCDC head declared.
