"The total number of infected medical staff in Georgia is up to 5 000," the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, stated.
According to her, additional research is underway to find out exactly how many doctors are infected.
"Medical staff ranges from 4 500 to 5 000. I mean everyone who works in a medical facility. This infection has occurred in medical environments and even in domestic settings. Unfortunately, the medical staff became mostly infected in domestic settings. An in-depth study on all of this is planned. As soon as we have the research, we will share it with you," Gabunia said.
Four thousand seven hundred eighty new patients tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia, while 3 489 patients defeated the virus. Information about this got published on the official website created by the government.
