Two citizens of Iran have reportedly been made to return to Turkey. Border guards did not allow them to cross Georgia's border as both of them had a temperature when they underwent an examination at the customs.

Deputy Health Minister of the region of Adjara Nino Nijaradze said that at the Sarpi border checkpoint and the airport, passengers are being subjected to careful examination.

"At this point, we have no patients with suspicious symptoms in the region. Working meetings are planned to be conducted tomorrow. Meetings by the Adjara government at which the already confirmed cases were discussed have already ended, with all necessary measures planned to be introduced in the short term. Passengers are subjected to screening at the border, with the medical personnel examining them closely. If any suspicious symptoms are noticed, they will be immediately transported to the hospital. Two citizens of Iran had a body temperature of 37.5°C, and they were returned to Turkey," Nizharadze said.
