A meeting of a special commission under the new state program "Renewed Regions" was held in Batumi.
Chairman of the Adjara government Tornike Rizhvadze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Irakli Karseladze, deputy ministers, and representatives of six municipalities of Adjara, attended the meeting.
As Tornike Rizhvadze said, projects that cost 20 million GEL will be implemented s part of the program.
"Urban projects will be implemented in all six municipalities of Adjara, one of the most important comprehensive measures to develop infrastructure, create new jobs and strengthen the economy. Despite the crisis and pandemic, our country continues to develop. These are both tourism infrastructure and projects that, first of all, serve the interests of the local population," Tornike Rizhvadze said.
