Citizens are leaving their flats in an apartment building on Memed Abashidze street in Batumi. The building faces the recently collapsed block of flats on 26 May Street.
Following repeat engineering evaluation, they determined that the building is unsafe for human habitation.
The Chairman of the Apartment Owners Association said that they are designing a commercial space on the first floor of the building, which has caused damage to its main wall.
The Batumi City Hall has provided around 60 families with hotel rooms. They are set to return to their flats after all necessary measures to make the building safe again have been taken.
