Citizens over 55 will be involved in the vaccination process starting today. Vaccination is possible for people on dialysis and patients with organ transplants. Vaccination of dialysis patients will be carried out in the institutions where they are treated.

More than 11,000 people in Georgia have been vaccinated, and up to 20,000 citizens have registered to be immunized.

Vaccination with Pfizer started in Georgia on March 30. In addition to medical staff, citizens over 65 can be vaccinated from March 25, and in the near future, the age limit will be lowered to 55 years. During registration, citizens have the opportunity to choose between the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

29,250 doses of Pfizer vaccine were introduced in Georgia on March 25. Earlier on March 13, the country received 43,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
