At the first stage, the AstraZeneca vaccine will be introduced in Georgia. Ekaterine Tikaradze stated about it at the briefing at the Ministry of Health.
According to the Minister, negotiations are underway to accelerate the introduction of doses of Pfizer.
"UNICEF has reached an agreement on an accelerated supply of AstraZeneca vaccine. Reserved 43,200 doses will be delivered following a protocol developed by the COVID Vaccination Board. Next is the Pfizer vaccine. Negotiations are underway to reach an agreement to speed up the process concerning the Pfizer vaccine," Tikaradze said.
