Three people have survived horrific tragedy that claimed 17 lives on Shatili road.
The survivors prove to be 23-year-old Khatia Devsurashvili, whose sister Medea was killed in the accident, Tamar Arghvliani and Nata Tkhelidze. They are now under treatment at Tbilisi University Clinic.
Medical state of the three citizens severely injured after the Shatili road accident is critical but stable, according to Levan Ratiani, the head of the First University Clinic.
"The health condition of all three patients is critical but stable; for the last several hours, the condition has not worsened; on the contrary, the hemodynamic parameters are becoming stable," Ratiani said, adding that the patients have already been subjected to clinical examination. In his words, one patient's medical state is now critical; however, it is expected to improve. "Our medics are exerting all-out efforts to help the patients recover," Ratiani said.
On August 23, a minibus fell down a rocky slope from a height of about 80 metres on Shatili road in the vicinity of the Biso village. The accident claimed the lives of 17 people. Three people were severely injured.
