One person was killed, and another was wounded in the village of Sakire, Borjomi Municipality.
Police have arrested a young man for committing a crime. As report.ge was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, K.S., born in 1985, was arrested on charges of premeditated murder.
"The investigation established that the accused, on October 28 of 2021, in the village of Sakire, Borjomi Municipality, in the yard of his house, on the grounds of jealousy, inflicted a fatal wound on a fellow villager V.Kh., born in 1981 with a hunting rifle and killed him. After that, K.S. injured his wife - T.G., born in 1991, with a cold weapon. The injured woman was taken to a clinic where appropriate treatment was being provided.
As a result of operative and investigative actions carried out on the hot trail, the law enforcers arrested K.S. minutes after the incident near his home. The police seized the tools of the crime - a knife and a shotgun - as evidence," the statement said.
According to the agency, the fact of premeditated murder is being investigated under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 7 to 15 years in prison.
