The officers of Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative actions, detained Z.K., born in 1991, in Kaspi on charges of premeditated murder.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the crime is punishable by 7 to 15 years in prison.
"The investigation established that the accused man stabbed N.G., born in 1987, in the body with a cold weapon, as a result of which he died on the spot.
Law enforcers arrested Z.K. shortly after the incident. He was arrested in hot pursuit. During the search of the house of the accused, the weapon of the crime - a knife - was seized as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates premeditated murder," the statement said.
On March 14, the body of a 40-year-old man was found in one of the cemeteries in Kaspi.
