According to the State Security Sevice, the National Counterterrorism Center and the Security Service of Ukraine prevented the planned murder of two people in a blast in Tbilisi.
During a briefing, the State Security Service revealed that as a result of simultaneous activities, they arrested 6 Georgian citizens in Tbilisi and Batumi.
According to the information, the National Counterterrorism Center officers detained two Georgian citizens, G.B. and B.C. for preparing murder of two persons in aggravated circumstances in Tbilisi, and four persons R.B., N.B., G.T., and I.M. for illegal purchase, storage, manufacture and sale of explosives in Batumi.
According to the State Security Service, the Security Service of Ukraine arrested B.M., a citizen of Ukraine, in connection with this case in Kharkiv. The investigation revealed that the detained planned the murder of two Georgian citizens G.F. and D.F. in Ukraine, and wanted to use firearms and a particular remote-controlled explosive device.
The crime envisages from 16 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
