Officers of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained father and son A.R., born in 1982, and M.R., born in 2004, due to operative-investigative actions in Marneuli. The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed report.ge about the crime.
They are charged with premeditated murder committed by a group of people under aggravating circumstances. The offense carries a maximum sentence of 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
"The investigation established that the defendants shot and killed Z.B., born in 1981, and A.R., born in 1997, in the village of Akhlolalo, Marneuli Municipality, on the grounds of a previous disagreement, in their house, with a firearm. Police arrested both of the accused shortly after the incident, in hot pursuit. Law enforcement officers seized hunting rifles as evidence.
The investigation into the premeditated murder of two persons under aggravating circumstances is being carried out under Article 109, Part 2, Subparagraph "e" and Part 3, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia," the agency revealed.
