The General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Tbilisi Prosecutor's Office detained an employee of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Forensic Service. The Ministry of Internal Affairs spreads information about the incident.
According to the agency, the law enforcer has been arrested for the crime under the first part of Article 157 and the first part of Article 151 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Article 157, Part 1 - Illegal acquisition, storage, use, dissemination, or other access to personal information or personal data.
The crime is punishable by fine or correctional labor for a term not exceeding two years or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years.
Article 151, Part 1 - the threat of loss of life or damage to health or destruction of property.
The crime is punishable by a fine or by community service for one hundred and twenty to one hundred and eighty hours, or by correctional labor for a term of up to one year, or by imprisonment for a term of up to one year.
