The Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has instituted legal proceedings against a person for the violation of freight transportation procedures at Georgia's border checkpoint.
Investigators determined that the defendant transporting vehicles to Azerbaijan tried to transport other undeclared goods to get more financial benefit and smuggle them by crossing the Red Bridge.
Investigators seized various undeclared goods worth more than GEL 15,000.
The investigation is in progress under Part 1 of Article 214, with the perpetrator facing from three to five years of jail time.
