Law enforcers arrested J.G., born in 1976 on charges of domestic violence and threatening a family member.
Investigations revealed that the accused physically assaulted his minor son S.G., born in 2009, and his wife L.M., born in 1987, in his home, in the village of Sviri, Akhaltsikhe municipality.
The investigation found that J.G., in the presence of a minor child, threatened to kill his wife using firearms and an ax.
Police seized the detainee's firearm and ax as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under part 2 of Article 151, subsection (d ) of the Criminal Code of Georgia and also part 2 of Article 126, subsection (a) and (b), involving violence in the presence of a minor against family members and threats against a family member.
The crime envisages from 1 to 3 years of imprisonment.
