A 40-year-old man was arrested in Bolnisi on charges of violence against his wife. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the woman, who was abused by her husband, died before being taken to the hospital.
"The investigation has established that the accused man on June 12 this year, in the village of Nakhiduri, Bolnisi Municipality, during the altercation, physically abused his wife, S.I., born in 1981. As a result, the woman lost consciousness and died before being taken to hospital. The crime envisages imprisonment for a term of 6 to 9 years," said the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
