Natural and legal entities owning land plots of 0.25 – 100-hectare area (registered in the National Public Registry) will buy diesel with a discount as part of the new government project.
As Minister of Agriculture Levan Davitashvili said, when presenting the farmer supporting program, about 200,000 farmers will enjoy the program and spare about 40 million GEL.
As part of the project, the fuel limit is 150 liter per hectare.
The program aims to support the increase of agricultural product volume that will have a positive influence on food supplies and product value.
The program will begin on May 20, 2020.
The government plans to spend ten million GEL on the agriculture modernization.
Farmers will receive 200-GEL per each registered hectare of land.
As part of the post-crisis plan, the government will provide 200,000 farmers with 300-million-GEL support.
All farmers are exempt from irrigation fees.
The tax allowance budget for farmers includes 13 million GEL.
PM Gakharia says the government will do everything to ensure the cultivation of all land plots across Georgia.
The owners of greenhouses will enjoy halved expenses due to government support.
