Azerbaijan and Turkey are the largest importers of cement in Georgia.
report.ge studied the cement import market and found that 295, 849.05 tons of cement worth 14,548.83 thousand dollars were imported to Georgia from Azerbaijan this year. The data are significantly reduced on an annual basis. In 11 months of last year, the Azerbaijani import of cement to Georgia was equal to 445,334.34 tons, and in monetary terms, it amounted to 23,884.21 thousand dollars.
Turkey ranks second in terms of cement imports. 291,334. 56 tons of cement entered Georgia in 11 months this year, which cost Georgia 15,668.27 thousand dollars. Last year, in 11 months, Georgia bought 157,200.51 tons from Turkey, and it cost 9 067.45 thousand dollars.
Iran is in the next position. 27,326.90 tons worth of 1,408.62 thousand dollars cement were imported to Georgia this year. Last year, the import of Iranian cement in Georgia was equal to 45,378.68 tons, the monetary value of which was equivalent to 2,432.93 thousand dollars.
