As reported by Georgia's Economic Minister Natia Turnava, every single step related to the Anaklia port construction will be transparent.
''The Georgian government terminated a contract with the Anaklia Development Consortium, as the latter failed to fulfill its undertakings even in the extended term,'' Turnava says.
She says Anaklia represents a priority to the government.
''We will launch new tender procedures shortly,'' Turnava said, adding the government is hopeful for finding a new investor as soon as possible.
According to Economic Minister Turnava, the government will inevitably build the Anaklia port.
''It is a strategic priority to us,'' she added.
As a reminder, the Georgian government officially terminated the contract with the Anaklia Development Consortium on January 9, 2020.
