Georgian products will only enter the EU market without a tariff, if it is entirely or partly manufactured in Georgia. The Certificate of Origin - EUR.1 is issued by the Revenue Service of Georgia.

The export to the European market requires standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000 Global GAP. These certificates are not mandatory but farmers should be aware that this is a ticket to the European market and important for producers and exporters who wish to market their products in the EU.

According to PMCG, the International Consulting Company implement the standards initially costs at least $ 10,000, 50% of which goes to the consulting firm and the remaining 50% to auditing and certification.
